Fees and Rebates

Assessments for children and adolescents are billed at a flat rate of $1390 inclusive of:

  • Intake interview (30 minutes)
  • Face to face assessment session (typically 2 – 4 hours)
  • Written summary report
  • Email/phone liaison with external providers (including the referring GP or Paediatrician if relevant)
  • Feedback session with parents/carers (50 minutes)

Assessments typically include 1-2 of the following components depending on the client’s presenting problem:

  • Cognitive Assessment (IQ)
  • Educational Assessment (Academics)
  • Behavioural or Emotional Assessment (ADHD screening etc.)
  • Functional or Adaptive Assessment (Development)
  • Memory Assessment
Lauren is a registered provider of Focused Psychological Strategies under the Better Access to Mental Health scheme. Under this scheme, a referral must be provided by a General Practitioner, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician. They will assess your eligibility, create a Mental Health Care Plan, and provide you with referral paperwork to bring to your first appointment. The Medicare rebate for seeing a Registered Psychologist is $87.45 per session (therapy sessions only). This rebate can be accessed for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Some individuals are also eligible for private health insurance rebates which further reduce the cost of each session. HICAPS claiming is available. Please contact your provider prior to your appointment to check whether psychology is covered under your extras cover. Assessment may be covered by your provider in addition to therapy or intervention sessions.
Lauren provides the following for NDIS participants under Improved Daily Living Skills: Specialised individual therapy for early childhood (multidisciplinary team intervention) and individual assessment, therapy and/or training. NDIS sessions are billed at the scheduled rate ($214 2022-2023)

Please note: you can only claim medicare OR private health rebates for a single session. Fees are paid at the time of each consultation and electronic payments are preferred..
